Lots of great events happening in Whistler, this first month is loaded with events that will delight fans of all ages.

7-Eleven Fire and Ice Show
December 12, 2008 — April 5, 2009
It doesn’t get much hotter than this! Be amazed as firespinners and fireworks light up the night sky, while skiers and snowboarders jump through the dazzling Ring of Fire every Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the base of Whistler Mountain.

The Whistler Holiday Experience
December 19, 2008 — January 4, 2009
Celebrate the season with Whistler Village street entertainment and train rides, a tree-lighting ceremony, dog sledding, caroling, kids’ activities and Christmas story reading.

The Whistler Holiday Experience
Running daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. over the holiday season at the TELUS Whistler Conference Centre, The Whistler Holiday Experience features a complete (and FREE!) Indoor Family Fun Zone with nine holes of miniature golf, an inflatable jumping, bouncing and sliding village, video games and a screening room featuring festive-themed films. Please note: Due to other programming, the Whistler Holiday Experience will be closed December 24 to 26, and December 31.

Take part in a variety of experiences, on and off the mountains, inspired by Whistlers epic storm season. Celebrate the awesome power of winter!  Discover great value during Discover Whistler Days. FIS Cross-Country Skiing World Cup
January 15—18, 2009
Head to Whistler Olympic Park, the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games venue for Nordic sports, and watch the athletes go for World Cup gold on the Olympic trails.

National Learn to Ski/Ride Week
January 17—25, 2009

TELUS Winter Classic
January 22—23, 2009
This action packed weekend features the famous Race Classic, glorious food, wine tastings, live and silent auctions, dancing, fantastic entertainment and prizes.

FIS Ski Jumping World Cup
January 23—24, 2009
It’s hard to put into words the thrill of watching competitive ski jumping. Big jumps, big air and big talent. Whistler Olympic Park.
